Planning a Low Cost Wedding

Wednesday October 6, 2004
Priceless Weddings Faithful & Frugal is on Saturday, October 9th from 11am to 2pm. This unusual wedding faire has one primary goal - helping couples lower the cost of their ceremony and reception. It is estimated that the national average cost of a wedding in the United States is $22,360.

The "Planning a Low Cost Wedding" panel includes a wedding planner and all exhibitors support the elegant and economical wedding. Goodwill Industries will sell over 100 gently used dresses for $100. Asqew Catering will show how receptions and rehearsal dinners can be delicious, healthy and affordable.

This wedding faire also presents ways to personalize the ceremony. The Interfaith Workshop helps couples "combine" traditions to celebrate their spiritual practices. Often couples choose one tradition.

This event seeks to encourage couples to resist debt and reserve savings for future needs. The wedding is just one day!

The registration fee at the door is two for $20. Couples can register on-line and pay two for $15.

The event is held on Saturday at Saint Mary's Conference Center, 1111 Gough Street, San Francisco.
