Chrismukkah: Merging Secular Aspects of Christmas and Hanukkah

Wednesday December 1, 2004
Hoping to encourage tolerance and increase the likelihood that children of interfaith marriages will be more knowledgeable about their dual cultural heritage, Michelle and Ron Gompertz created a website about celebrating Chrismukkah.

"Our intention wasn't to merge the religious aspects," Gompertz said, "but rather the secular aspects of the holidays."

Their site explains Chrismukkah and has stories about celebrating holidays as an interfaith couple along with mixed-faith holiday cards.
