Misspelled, But Still a Romantic Proposal

Wednesday October 12, 2005
Chris Mueller, a strong, silent type of guy, was just carrying on the family tradition of plowing romantic messages in a field. When he realized his planning was a bit off kilter, he continued on anyway with his proposal message by leaving a "r" out of "marry" hoping that his fiance would still say yes.

Katie Goltz did say yes.

Chris' father, Tom Mueller has used farm fields to send a romantic message twice to his wife, Diane. When they were engaged, he plowed a heart in the field with Diane's name in it. On their 25th wedding anniversary, Tom seeded a "No. 25" into a bean field.
