Tragic Wedding Reception in Jordan

Thursday November 10, 2005
For most couples, their wedding day is a day of great memories. For Ashraf Mohammad al-Akhras, a medical technician, and his bride Nadia al-Alami, their wedding day memories will include horror and loss.

While making their grand entrance to greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, November 9, 2005, a suicide bomber blew himself up in the Radisson SAS hotel's ballroom in Amman.

Both the bride and groom lost their fathers in the deadly explosion. The groom, who was also wounded, believed that ten of his relatives were killed in the blast.
