Don't Snoop!

Friday July 7, 2006
Tell us AOL is just trying to be funny with their "The Bachelor Pad Deconstructed" because it didn't strike us as humorous.

Yes, Ann-Margret got away with snooping in Jack Lemmon's medicine cabinet in Grumpy Old Men, but she was up front with it and it was in the movies!

Looking for clues and hidden meanings in a person's belongings is asking for misunderstandings. Also, in the AOL slide show, we think there are too many stereotypes such as the comments about thinking twice about a guy who has a cat or a VCR or lights candles too much. So what?

We're okay with Googling a person, but in our opinion snooping in a guy's medicine cabinet, closet, drawers, etc. is not acceptable. Snooping and spying in a marriage isn't acceptable either.

If you want to know something about a guy, ask him! And bottom line, unless you have a history of choosing losers, trust your own gut about whether someone is a good match or not.
