Synopsis

Newlyweds Carl and Molly Peterson (Matt Dillon and Kate Hudson) are beginning the process of starting their new life together when an old friend and perpetual bachelor, slacker Randy Dupree (Owen Wilson), ends up on their doorstep jobless and homeless.

Although Randy is charming, he is also immature, and the temporary housing arrangement begins to create problems in Carl and Molly's marriage. Three becomes not just a crowd...but a full- blown catastrophe.
