Do You Sleep on the Opposite End of the Bed?

Wednesday January 3, 2007
A poll surveying over 3,000 American married women is featured in the February 2007 issue of Woman's Day Magazine, page 54.

When we received the Press Release about the poll, one of the odd results mentioned was "... 32% stated they sleep on the opposite end of the bed from their husband." What is that all about? What woman wants to sleep with her husband's feet in her face?

Looking through the actual magazine, we found the correct quote on page 55: "We sleep on opposite sides of the bed ... 32%." It's amazing how one word can totally change the meaning of a sentence. Even that sentence can be confusing in a survey. Most couples don't sleep on the same side of the bed do they?

Some of the poll's other results are that

  • 36% of married women would not remarry their spouse and 20% aren't sure if they would or wouldn't remarry their spouse.

  • 76% fantasize about another man.

  • 39% of married women polled constantly flirt with another man.

  • 76% of married women surveyed keep secrets from their husbands.

Those poll results are similar to our own poll asking the question if a person would marry their spouse again. Although our poll showed a higher percentage of people not wanting to remarry their spouses, our poll was not gender specific.
