Monday March 12, 2007
It appears that leaving love notes in the bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and in your spouse's vehicle are the most popular locations. We had to add extra pages for those areas.

Here are the latest submissions from readers on great places to leave your love notes! The Read More link will take you to many more new love note suggestions.

  • A great place to leave a love note is in your spouse's lunch box. That is, if they take their lunch to work. ~~ Kenneth and Janice A.

  • I printed 100 post-its that all said "I LOVE YOU" on them and hid them all over the house in places he would look. EX. In his shirt pocket, in the pizza box in the fridge, in his medicine cabinet... It was so much fun. The best part is because its been a couple of months now and he still finds them places and he says it brings a smile to his face each time. ~~ Amanda H.

  • Suggestions for leaving love notes in the bathroom...Use "bath time crayons for children" and write little love notes on the shower wall or door in red. ~~ Carrie C.

  • I just opened my laptop this morning and my boyfriend had left a love note! Yesterday! ~~ L.N.

  • I like to write an uplifting sentence or something as simple as "smile" or "I love you" on small pieces of paper (I usually write a bunch on a 8.5x11 sheet of paper and then tear it into 10 strips) and I leave those notes in pants pockets, shirt pockets, coat pockets, pin them inside a shirt or work uniform, etc. Some he will find right away (that week) and then some he may find months later -- it's always a nice surprise to let him know I am thinking of him. ~~ Jen M.

  • I, at one time sent a lot of love notes. My favorite trick was to open a pack of cigarettes from the bottom (very carefully) and remove two of three cigarettes and write little things on them and then replace them resealing the pack. • Some times I would get those snap clothes pins and write little notes, fold them and then attach them to the back of her clothing. ~~ Monte N.

  • Tucked inside the cardboard of the toilet paper roll. They’ll see it when they change the roll… for men, this might take a while but if you leave the roll empty long enough, he’ll find it eventually! ~~ Kim R.S.

  • I think leaving a love note in your love one’s travel bag would be a good place to put one before they travel. You know somewhere near the toothbrush or comb. Maybe tuck away in a pair of socks. ~~ Sheila P.

  • I hid a love note on the rear side of his driver's sun visor so he didn't see it until the afternoon sun was very strong. ~~ Motiata H.

  • I put a love note in my husband's sock. It was a great surprise! ~~ Stacey C.

She also builds and races 4x4 drag trucks here in Indianapolis where we live. So she is ALWAYS in one of her shops either here on our property, or just inside the city. I leave her love notes and reminders of how smart and beautiful she is to me in her tool boxes, I have even blown up pictures of her hero race car driver, (Why she does what she does) and left them on her shop walls, or any other places I can put them. IN her truck just before she heads off the line taped to the steering wheel, inside her firesuit ... anywhere I can get them to stick. ~~ Nick O.

  • On your screen saver! OK, it can't be a long love letter. More of a sentiment. And it needs to be something that you don't mind sharing with anyone who sees your computer. Something like, "Zelda, you are gorgeous in gum boots." In our version of Windows, you go Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Screen Saver, then choose 'marquee display' and type in your message. ~~ Dan D.

  • I love your website, i found new interesting ideas and would like to share where i usually leave my love notes. If my husband is taking lunch from home I would put it inside his lunchbag, or write it on the extra napkin. I also put one note in his foldeld underwear, i know it sounds funny but when he sees the paper falling he picks it up and reads it. I hope you like my ideas. ~~ Yenny M.
