Thanksgiving Day Memories

Picture this really big mistake we made over 45 years ago!
We were married in early November.

I was 19 years old and had not cooked much other than meat loaf and TV dinners.

We decided to have both our families over for our first Thanksgiving Day dinner.

It was a terrible experience. I not only thoroughly messed up the dinner because I was too proud to accept the help that was offered, I even managed to burn the hot pads!

Whether you are hosting dinner or spending time with your in-laws, try not to let Thanksgiving Day become a day of stress and turmoil. Check out some of these ideas for making the holiday both more meaningful and less chaotic.
