How to Attract Attention

Checking in from Valparaiso, Indiana. We spent quite a bit of time today in a small town with lots of antique stores, Pierceton, Indiana.

I love flowers. Throughout our courtship and marriage, Bob has found ways to surprise me with flowers. Sometimes it is a single bloom, sometimes a bouquet, sometimes a blooming weed like a dandelion from our yard.

The other day Bob stopped and purchased a bouquet of roses for me and put the roses in a vase we purchased in Texas. I wanted to keep the roses as long as I could, so he figured out a way to keep the vase and roses upright in the back seat of the car. Each evening after we check into a hotel, I carry the vase of roses with me to our room. The roses and I attract quite a bit of attention.

People usually ask us what the occasion is. Bob responds with, "No special occasion. I just want Sheri to have something that spoke of "us" in all these hotel rooms as we travel."
