She Makes His Dreams Come True

We generally dislike public or elaborate marriage proposals. There are just too many things that can go wrong.

But Ricardo Carrillo's submission to our "How Did You Propose to Your Spouse? query made us smile. Ricky's (500) Days of Summer proposal was successful and met these four proposal requirements:

• The proposal was a surprise.
• The proposal created a positive memory.
• The marriage proposal was meaningful since the dance sequence in the movie was a favorite for both Ricky and Stephanie.
• Ricky received a "yes" from Stephanie.
