Give what your spouse wants and not what you want to give. Hopefully, your gifts to each other will be creative and sensitive and you won't give your spouse something unwanted like Bob gave me on our first Christmas together. He gave me a sewing machine even though he knew I didn't like to sew!
Gifts do not have to be elaborate. It is often the simple gifts that are the most memorable.
