Born:

Lance Edward Gunderson Armstrong: September 18, 1971 in Plano, Texas.

Sheryl Suzanne Crow: February 11, 1962 in Kennett, Missouri.

How Lance and Sheryl Met:

Lance and Sheryl met at the Grand Slam for Children event in Las Vegas in October 2003. Armstrong and Crow flirted with one another through their Blackberries.

Their relationship became public shortly after his divorce from Kristin.

Engagement:

Lance and Sheryl announced their engagement in September 2005. Lance popped the question on August 31, 2005, while they were in Sun Valley, Idaho on vacation. According to an interview on The Oprah Show, he proposed while they were in the middle of a lake on a small fishing boat that had run out of gas. "Far from feeling stranded, Lance seized the "too perfect" moment to propose."

Lance gave Sheryl is a 6-carat, cushion-cut diamond engagement ring. Lance and Sheryl planned a spring wedding. Sheryl said it would be small, and not located in either Missouri or Texas.

Lance has three children from his marriage to Kristin Richard and a son with Anna Hansen. In May 2007, Sheryl adopted a two-week-old baby, Wyatt Steven Crow. In June 2010, Sheryl announced she adopted her second son, Levi James Crow.

Lance: Professional bicyclist.

Sheryl Crow: Award winning singer and composer. She was a grade school teacher before she began singing as a backup singer for Michael Jackson. Crow has written songs for Eric Clapton, Tina Turner and Céline Dion.

Residence:

Lance has a six-bedroom ranch home in Austin, Texas that is a short drive to where his children live with Kristin.

Sheryl Crow owns an apartment in downtown New York City.
