Newlyweds - November Edition
Thanksgiving and remembering what and who we are thankful for is part of the tradition of November. How are you going to celebrate your first Thanksgiving together? Will you be spending it alone, or trying to decide whose family to spend this holiday with? Although it may not seem like it, your decisions this first holiday season will affect many more holidays in the future.

Talk about what is important to each of you when it comes to the holiday season. You may find that you have traditions that are in conflict. Perhaps one of you is used to opening Christmas presents on Christmas Eve, and the other always opened their presents on Christmas morning. One of you likes the gizzards in the turkey stuffing, and the other is appalled at the thought.

It is very important that you can make plans for the holiday season early That gives you time to tell each of your families so they can get used to the idea that you have your own family unit now and you are beginning your own traditions.
