11/01/2011: Answering the question on her blog of why she filed for divorce so quickly after their wedding, Kim mentioned she felt like she was on a "fast roller coaster" that she couldn't get off when she knew she should because she didn't know how and didn't want to "disappoint" people. Yes, the decision to cancel a wedding is definitely one of the most difficult decisions you would ever make. But as Kim is finding out now, it is better to listen to your gut feelings and to call off a wedding than it is to file for divorce.

Kris proposed marriage with a $2 million dollar diamond (photo) on May 18, 2011, six months after they met in New York City and started dating in late 2010. After his proposal, they flew to Monaco to vacation with Kris' family.

Kim and Kris were married at the 10.9-acre Tuscan-style Sotto Il Monte estate in Montecito, California on August 20, 2011 in an evening ceremony. Her $20,000 wedding dress was designed by Vera Wang and reportedly did not cost Kim a dime. The wedding gown was ivory with a basque waist, full tulle skirt, and Chantilly lace applique. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kim and Kris' wedding is a money maker for the newlyweds. People magazine paid $1.5 million for exclusive photos of the wedding and $300,000 for their engagement announcement. OK! magazine won the rights to exclusive coverage of their bridal shower for $100,000.

The approximately 440 guests were asked to wear only black and white to the wedding and Old Hollywood theme. They were also required to give up their cell phones at the door and to go through a metal detector. The chocolate and vanilla wedding cake had 10-tiers and chocolate chip frosting.

Kim and Kris left on August 22, 2011 for a short trip to the Amalfi coast in Italy for their honeymoon. They plan on having a "big" honeymoon later.
