Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin Relationship Profile

While we hoped only the best for Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston, we view their roller-coaster relationship as a text-book example of getting married for the wrong reasons.

News Updates:

8/3/2010: Saying that their relationship is finished, Bristol Palin confirmed she called off their engagement.

"Bristol also says she's not giving up hope of a safe and happy two-parent home for Tripp. "I have faith that I'll find it. Through this whole experience I know I need a man who's going to be completely honest with me and someone who loves me and Tripp and wants to be with him all the time. I also want someone who has religious beliefs and a good family."

Bristol Sheeran Marie Palin: October 18, 1990 in Wasilla, Alaska.

Levi Keith Johnston: May 3, 1990 in Alaska.

Levi and Bristol met in school and began dating in 2005. They were engaged in September 2008 after announcing Bristol's pregnancy, but ended the engagement in March 2009.

While working on a custody plan, Bristol and Levi reconciled three months prior to their July 2010 engagement. After arranging rose petals in the shape of a heart on her bed, Levi proposed to Bristol by getting down on one knee.

Bristol: "We got engaged two weeks ago. It felt right, even though we don't have the approval of our parents."

At the time they announced their second engagement, a wedding date was not announced. Levi and Bristol told reporters they want to get married as soon as possible. According to MSNBC, Bristol says she is not pregnant, they are practicing abstinence until the wedding, and they will seek marriage counseling.

Bristol and Levi have one son.

Levi: Model, apprentice electrician.

In early August 2010, Bristol decided to sell her condo in Anchorage, Alaska and moved back to her parents' home in Wasilla.

Levi: "I really thought we were over. So when I went, I had no hope. I think we both just started talking —- and then we took Tripp for a walk."
