Stonewalling

Definition: When a spouse is stonewalling in communication in a marriage relationship, he or she is usually
  • using delaying or stalling tactics, or

  • refusing to answer questions, or

  • doing whatever can be done to hinder or obstruct a discussion, or

  • bluntly refusing to cooperate with partner.

A spouse who stonewalls effectively drives aways and rejects his or her spouse.

Examples:
One of the four things that can kill a marriage is stonewalling.
