Definition: E-marriage is a method to get married. E-marriage is proposed for couples who live in one state to use the Internet to obtain a marriage license online so they can be legally married under a different state's law.
While currently such marriages would probably be challenged in court, e-marriage could potentially benefit same-sex couples, deployed military couples, and couples in long-distance relationships.
