Jack: Jack was in the U.S. Navy from 1938-1941; in the Merchant Marine in 1942; and served as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne and fought in the Battle of the Bulge during WWII. Actor, middleweight boxer, nightclub bouncer, lifeguard, deckhand.
Vanda: Actress. She gave up her acting career after she and Jack were married.
Jack kept his Greenwich Village five-room apartment and through the years allowed many friends to stay there. Early in their marriage, Jack and Vanda had a two-story, five-bedroom, five-bathroom home on the beach in Malibu.
In 2006, Jack was residing in Manhattan.
