Heath: 1/22/2008 in Manhattan at the age of 28. The first memorial service held for Heath was for relatives and close friends only at a L.A. cemetery. A second service was held on the Sony lot in Los Angeles for friends and entertainment industry colleagues.

After a memorial service at Penrhos College, Heath was cremated on 2/9/08 at Fremantle Cemetery near Perth, Australia. As the sun started to set, mourners swam in the ocean at Cottesloe Beach, a favorite area of Heath's.

Michelle and Heath met on the set of Brokeback Mountain and began dating in June, 2004.

Although Michelle often referred to Heath as her husband and Heath referred to Michelle as his fiancée, the couple did not set a marriage date.

In September 2007, Michelle and Heath ended their relationship.

Michelle and Heath had one daughter, Matilda Rose Ledger. Matilda was born on October 28, 2005 in Brooklyn, New York. Actor and friend Jake Gyllenhaal is Matilda's godfather.

Heath was an actor. Heath planned on taking time off from his acting career so he could be a full-time dad to his daughter, Matilda for awhile. He enjoyed photography, reading, surfing, writing, art, watching black and white movies, skateboarding, and rainy days.

Michelle is an actress. Michelle collects rare books and loves reading.

At one time, Heath and fiancée Michelle resided in a $2 million townhouse on Boerum Hill near Cobble Hill in Brooklyn, New York. They also spent time in Los Angeles. Their home in Los Feliz, California was 5000 square feet.

On July 21, 2006, the SFGate.com reported that Heath and Michelle purchased a $2.3 million home in the Hollywood Hills. It is nicknamed the "Treehouse."
