Camila and Matthew met in Los Angeles at a bar in 2006. Matthew proposed on Christmas Day in 2011.

Matthew: "At Christmastime, we go around our family and everyone takes turns opening presents. So I had wrapped the engagement ring in about eight different boxes deep, so she would keep opening boxes to get with it," he recalled on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno Tuesday. "We finally got to her, and I'm calling my family over. She gets to it, she opens it up, her eyes go wide. I take a knee and I ask her, 'Will you marry me and take my name?'"

Matthew and Camila had a backyard wedding at their home in Austin, Texas on June 9, 2012. According to the Daily Mail, Camila decided to take Matthew's surname.

The Daily Mail also reported that if guests wanted to stay at Matthew and Camila's home, they were offered "state-of-the art tents which lined the back yard. The luxury temporary abodes, numbered 1-47, are in four rows in the garden and are said to be kitted out with beds, cosy white fur rugs on the floor, and outdoor seating with doormats at the front. They have also been equipped with what appears to be high-tech air-conditioning units."

Wedding guest: "There were about 100 of his close friends and family there," one wedding guest tells Us of the "high-end," campout-themed soiree. "[The ceremony] was very emotional. There was a moment when . . . [Matthew] leaned down and whispered something in [Camila's] ear and you could see a tear coming down her face. Everyone let out a collective sigh."

The Catholic ceremony was jointly officiated by a Benedictine Monk, Father Christian Leisy, and the Rev. David Haney of Riverbend Church. Camila carried a bouquet with white cattleya orchids and artichoke flowers. Her engagement ring was designed by Cathy Waterman. Their wedding bands were designed by Kathy Rose. The wedding cake at the reception was red-velvet decorated with flags of Texas and Brazil.

Matthew and Camila have three children:
