Review
Sitting in a movie theatre with only two other couples, it was hard to gage how well the audience reacted to You, Me and Dupree, but we think they, like us, enjoyed the movie. They laughed and so did Bob and I.
Although I thought from the movie trailer that some of the situations the main characters found themselves in were a bit much, in context of the movie, they weren't all that unusual.
When you say "yes" to allowing someone to live in your home, strange things can and do happen. We speak from personal experience.
Lessons to be Learned from the Movie You, Me and Dupree
There are several messages you can learn from this movie.
- Remember that three is a crowd.
- Remember to talk issues out with one another.
- Don't keep your feelings about work, friends, in-laws, etc. hidden from your spouse.
- Try not to over react or jump to conclusions.
- Don't allow someone to move in with you if you think they will stay around more than 3 days.
- Realize that your first year together as husband and wife is the hardest.
