Scooter Libby met his future wife Harriet Grant at the legal firm of Leonard Garment about 1985.

Scooter and Harriet have two school-aged children, a son and a daughter.
Scooter Libby: Senior advisor for the Hudson Institute, former Vice Presidential top aide and chief of staff, former presidential advisor, National Security Advisor, lawyer, author.
Scooter enjoys skiing, mountain biking, soccer, and touch-football.
Harriet Grant: Stay-at-home mom after their children were born, lawyer, former Democratic staff lawyer for the Senate Judiciary Committee under Senator Joseph Biden.
7/2/07: Amid political backlash and against the judge's wishes that Libby's crime was serious and not to be diminished, President Bush commuted the prison sentence for Scooter Libby. Libby will remain on probation for two years and will still have to pay a $250,000 fine. President Bush considered the 30-month prison sentence "excessive." According to CNN's chief legal analyst, Jeffrey Toobin, "A commutation is a total right of the president and it cannot be challenged by any attorney or court." Bush could still make the decision to pardon Libby at a later date.

March 6, 2007: Scooter Libby was found guilty on four counts of obstruction of justice and perjury. Libby's attorneys will appeal the guilty verdict. He faces up to 25 years in prison and $1 million in fines.
October 28, 2005: Scooter Libby indicted on charges of obsruction of justice, making a false statement, and perjury in the CIA leak case. two counts of perjury, two counts of making false statements and a further count of obstruction of justice.
Scooter and Harriet have a home in McLean, Virginia.
