Coping After a Disaster Question
Coping After a Disaster Question

By Sheri & Bob Stritof, About.com

After surviving Hurricane Katrina, Loren is looking for a way to reduce the stress, frustration, and tension that is in her marriage and life now.

Question

My husband and I and our three kids are having to live at my parents' home as we put our lives back together after Hurricane Katrina. I find myself wanting to cry a great deal of the time.

Sure, I'm grateful for a roof over our heads, but the lack of privacy and crowded conditions are driving us all up the moldy walls and we are all stressed.

My husband is working long hours and days on end without a day off. Our communication with one another is pretty minimal. I am worried and frustrated.

Any suggestions?
