Getting Married Concerns

Getting Married Concerns

Answer

We think you are worrying about things that are "said" out there in the world, but that may never ever apply to your own relationship with your fiancé.

As to your concerns about income, yes, the most common reason for couples to get divorced are over finances. But it isn't the amount of money the couple has, but rather how they perceive spending that money that creates problems. Waiting until you think you have enough money may mean you will wait forever to get married.

About the monthly business trips... if you two keep in contact with one another, and keep your communication lines open and honest between you, the business trips shouldn't create any problems.

We live in an area with a lot of retired couples and it is such a joy to see the continued love and affection that couples who have been married for 50 or more years still have for one another.

Much happiness in the years ahead.
