Question
Hope you can help - my husband and I got married in the UK so we could expedite his US visa. It was a very simple civil ceremony with only our witnesses present.We are planning to have a full blown church wedding in NYC later this year. Most of our extended family and friends do not know we are already married and for simplicity sake (and to avoid prying questions) we'd like to keep it that way.
Will we have problems getting a religious clergyman to perform the traditional wedding cermony/vows? Do we need a NY wedding license?
