It's not the Academy Awards but the 2012 About.com Readers’ Choice Awards will highlight the best products, features and services in dozens of categories. Readers’ Choice includes multiple channels ranging from travel to pets to religion. Nominations will be accepted starting Jan. 18, 2012. Voting will take place from Feb. 22 through March 21 with winners announced March 30. Marriage blogs and websites cover all aspects of marriage. Some are written by marriage experts, some by therapists, some by disillusioned spouses, some by happily married couples. Some are funny, some are journals, some provide helpful tips, some are quite serious. The only requirement for eligibility for the About.com Marriage Readers' Choice Award for Best Marriage Blog/Website is that we can find it. Have the exact name of the blog/website and its URL handy when you fill out the nomination form. If either the name or the URL is incorrect or missing, the nomination will not be accepted.
Best Marriage Book of 2011
Nonfiction, fiction, spirituality, daily readings -- any type of marriage book, in any language, is eligible for the About.com Marriage Readers' Choice Award for Best Marriage Book of 2011, as long as it was published in 2011. (Not sure when the book was published? Look it up on a website like Amazon.com.) Have the exact title of the book and the author's name ready when you go to fill out the nomination form; nominations with incorrect or missing information will not be considered.
Best Marriage Movie of 2011
Think back on the movies you watched in 2011 that featured married couples and nominate your favorite for the About.com Marriage Readers' Choice Award for Best Marriage Movie of 2011. The only other requirement other than being about marriage is that the movie was released in 2011. Have the exact title of the movie handy when you go to fill out the nomination form; nominations with incorrect or missing information will not be considered.
Best Marriage Television Show
You can nominate any television show for the About.com Marriage Readers' Choice Award for Best Marriage Television Show as long as the show has a marriage theme. You do need to include not only the title of the show but also a URL for an official page for the show or we won't accept the nomination.
Best Marriage Podcast
Podcasts about marriage are a growing segment of marriage resources. The only requirement for eligibility for the About.com Marriage Readers' Choice Award for the Best Marriage Podcast is that the focus of the podcast is about marriage. Have the exact title of the podcast and where to locate it ready when you go to fill out the nomination form; nominations for unidentifiable podcasts will not be considered.
Best Marriage Workshop
Many married couples believe that a marriage workshop, retreat, or seminar saved their marriage. The workshop can be any format -- evening, weekend, week-long, online, etc. The only requirement for eligibility for the About.com Marriage Readers' Choice Award for the Best Marriage workshop is that the focus of the workshop is about marriage. Have the exact title of the workshop and where we can locate information about the workshop ready when you go to fill out the nomination form, in order to make sure that the nomination will be accepted.
Best Marriage App
Do you have a favorite app that helps your marriage? Nominate it for the About.com Marriage Readers' Choice Award for Best Marriage App! Have the exact title of the app ready when you go to fill out the nomination form; many app titles are very similar, and if it's not clear which app you're nominating, the nomination cannot be considered.
Most Admired Celebrity Marriage
If you believe a celebrity married couple is inspirational in how they show their commitment and love for one another, nominate them for the About.com Marriage Readers' Choice Award for Most Admired Celebrity Marriage! We do need both of their names or the nomination will be thrown out.

2012 Readers' Choice Awards: Details and Rules
- Nominations will begin on January 18, 2012 and end on February 15, 2012.
- Finalists are chosen based on popularity, as long as they meet the eligibility requirements listed in each category.
- Up to five finalists in each category will be announced on February 22.
- Voting will begin on February 22, 2012 and continue through March 21, 2012. Readers can vote once each day in each award category.
- Winners will be announced on March 30, 2012. There's no cash award - just the satisfaction that comes with officially being recognized as the best of the best by the readers of one of the largest online networks, About.com.
