Cooking as a Communication Tool

Make Time to Cook Together

By Sheri & Bob Stritof, About.com

Your mealtimes don't have to turn into a “have to” or just another chore to get out of the way. If you both know your way around the kitchen, including the sink, cooking together can be a great opportunity to discover how to eat healthy, have quality time with each other, share the load of meal preparation and clean up, learn new culinary skills together, have fun, and communicate effectively with each other.

Food and romance do go together! When you think of a romantic evening, don’t you imagine dining with candles and flowers? Did you know sexual feelings are said to be aroused by certain foods?

Take time to discover not only the romantic and fun aspects of cooking and dining, and to realize how this quality time together can improve your communication skills and ultimately, your marriage.
