Quotes About the Marriage of Cayetana and Alfonso:

Cayetana: "I have a young personality and I don't pay attention to numbers," she said on Spanish radio recently. "Alfonso has known me for 30 years, and he fell in love with me at first sight. But I married [someone else] and he had other relationships. Until one day three years ago, when we spontaneously fell into each others' arms ... But my children are making it hard on me. [Alfonso] doesn't want anything except me."

Cayetana: "I felt very lonely after Jesus died, and I developed feelings for Alfonso. When you get to know someone and you like them, you end up falling in love a little, and I fell in love with him. At one point, he confessed that he had developed feelings for me over the years. At first, I thought he was crazy. "Later it hit me –- it was something that would fill any woman with happy pride ... The tough part was that my children didn't understand and they got quite angry with me."
