Feedback This Week: - Loneliness in Marriage - From "C" - on a listserve Sheri belongs to. This is in response to some other members' postings. We asked permission to reprint it here because we believe she hit the nail on the head.
"When I read your messages, I could feel exactly where you are. I was there about a year and a half ago. My husband and I had only been married for 1 1/2 years. It was awful. The only time I ever felt good was when I was away from him. He felt the same way. We couldn't afford therapy, so we had to try to do something on our own. I think our higher power turned us in the right direction. For some reason, we started to do things on our own, not really with other people, but just things that we enjoyed. We started to relearn who we were. I think we had gotten so demanding of each other because we each expected the other to give us all of our needs. We relearned that we have to give ourselves what we need from ourselves, and not expect someone else to do it for us. Now, we each had something to share with the other, ourselves and what we were interested in. We are really doing great now. I mean everything isn't always peaches and cream, but we're not constantly annoyed with each other. I look forward to going home and seeing him every weekend. And I really miss him during the week when I have to be away. We have a much more loving relationship because we are loving ourselves, and we want to share this with each other. I'm sorry if I'm not expressing this very well, and I don't know if it will help, but I just wanted to share and let you both know you are not alone."

man doesn't know his wife until he marries her?
Dad: That happens in most countries, son.

Right Click Trick - Having trouble bookmarking a site you find through
The Mining Co because the URL doesn't show? Right click your mouse and the page url you are viewing should
show in "view info", "view source" or "properties". Then you can copy it and book mark it. Makes life a bit easier.
