Marriage:
Start-Up Page Directions

Did you know that you can make your browser start up so that Marriage loads automatically as your default start-up page? It's easy to do.

If you use Netscape:

  • First, find the "Preferences" of your browser. You can find this along your top Menu Bar. It is either in the "Options" menu (if you have an older version of Netscape) or in the "Edit" menu (if you have a newer version).
  • With an older version of Netscape, you want to choose "General Preferences" in the "Options Menu" and then choose "Appearance". You will see a section here that says "Home Page Location". In the box provided, type in http://marriage.about.com/. Click "OK" on the bottom of this window and all others to close them.
  • With a newer version of Netscape, you need to click on "Preferences" under the Edit menu. A window will pop-up; click on the word "Navigator" on the left-hand side of this window. On the right-hand side of this window you should now see a section that says "Home Page". In the box provided, type in http://marriage.about.com/library/bldaily.htm. Click "OK" on the bottom of this window to close it.

That's it. Next time you're ready to surf, Marriage will be here waiting for you!

If you use Internet Explorer:

  • Click the "View" menu at the top of your browser window and click on "Options".
  • Click "Navigation" in the box that appears. You will see section that lets you "Customize" your browser. There is a box called "Page", make sure that says "Start Page". Just below that you will see an "Address", delete the URL already in that box and type in http://marriage.about.com/library/bldaily.htm
  • Click OK on the bottom of this window to close it.

That's it. Next time you're ready to surf, Marriage will be here waiting for you!
