1/22/07: Finances make the Manson/Von Teese divorce difficult. Manson wants to make sure Dita won't have any claim to spousal support. Dita wants him to pay all the costs of the divorce, while he thinks she should pay her share.

1/6/07: Citing irreconcilable differences, infidelity, and partying, Dita filed divorce papers on 12/29/06 in Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles. The couple reportedly separated on 12/24/2006.

Marilyn and Dita began dating one another on January 5, 2001. Manson proposed by getting down on one knee to Dita on March 22, 2004 at their home in Los Angeles.

He gave her an antique, 1930s, 7-carat, European round-cut diamond engagement ring that he found at William Harold Jewelers located in Newport Beach, California.

Although their legal marriage was on November 28, 2005, they had another wedding ceremony on December 3, 2005 at the Ireland home of their artist friend, Austrian Gottfried Helnwein. Marilyn and Dita entered the Great Hall of the castle under gothic arches and with harp music playing. They said their vows to one another at midnight.

The conventional, non-denominational wedding ceremony at Castle Gurteen Le Poer in Kilsheelan, County Tipperary was officiated by their Chilean friend, underground film director, Alejandro Jodorowsky before 60 guests.

Music was provided by Max Raabe, a German singer and bandleader. The guests were served a gothic banquet in the castle's dining room.

Guests at the classy and stylish wedding included Lisa Marie Presley, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, Keanu Reeves, David Lynch, and Eric Szmanda. Many of the couple's guests stayed at the Conservatory of the Kilshane House where a 9 p.m. supper on Friday night before the wedding began the celebration.

Guests were invited to participate in skeet shooting, archery and falconry in the days following the wedding.

Wedding Attire:

Dita's wedding gown was designed by Vivienne Westwood. Complete with a train and petticoats that she wore over a Mr. Pearl couture corset, her wedding gown was made in royal purple silk taffeta. She also wore a tri-corn hat designed by Stephen Jones and shoes by Christian Louboutin.

Marilyn wore a black silk taffeta tuxedo trimmed in velvet. The tuxedo was designed by John Galliano. His hat was designed by Stephen Jones.

Wedding Rings:

Her wedding band was from William Harold Jewelers. His wedding band was a Dana Schneider custom-designed platinum ring with onyx inlay.

Previous Marriages:

None. This was the first marriage for both Marilyn and Dita. He was engaged to Rose McGowan, an actress and composer, from 1998 to 2001.

Marilyn Manson is a cult rock musician, composer, actor, director, and producer. He was a music journalist.

Dita von Teese is a burlesque star, Playboy model, dancer, and actress. She is best known for her 1940s retro pin-up girl look.
