Couple Not Interacting With Each Other

Couple Not Interacting With Each Other

By Sheri & Bob Stritof, About.com

B. is upset because she doesn't think her husband spends enough time discussing his thoughts and views about news events and everyday happenings with her.

Question

We're subscribed to your newletter but I have one thing that really bothers me and don't seem to find a particular answer to on the site. Would appreciate if you can HELP!

I'd like to know how to convince my husband about how he should be using his time effectively during the day. We're both working and he doesn't seem to understand that he should be spending time to develop his personal self by reading and staying in touch with everyday happenings. He never has a habit of scheduling tasks during the day and thinks that he's doing his bit by going to work and not just sitting around doing nothing.

Also, he thinks it is not necessary to discuss everyday happenings with me. Am I right in thinking that its his duty to help me and sharing with me news and his views and interpretations of what's going on in the world?

Please help!
